I am a self-taught artist who was born in Alexandria Virginia. I have lived in the Caribbean most of my life since I was 13 years old. I paint in oil and acrylics on board, and canvas and sometimes on wood useing brushes and my fingertips, or anything available. I paint with generous amounts of oil paint to portray scenes of rural surroundings, every day life, beach scenes, and including underwater scenes. I take my inspiration from religion, black history, and remembrances from childhood and nature. In addition to being a painter. I am a photographer and sculptor. I paint people, nature and underwater scenes. My work reflects the enthusiasm and love I have for the beauty and the people of the Virgin Islands in showing the day-to-day goings on of Caribbean life.
